Speaking to a private TV channel, Aitzaz Ahsan said that it was apparent for all to see that all matters had been resolved between the civilian and military leadership. He urged ISPR Spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor to resign.

“The Pakistan Army spokesperson should have resigned rather than take back his tweet,” he said.

Aitzaz also said that instead of basing decisions on the principles of cricket, the Pakistan Army spokesperson should have resigned. The PPP leader said that the government had been successful in protecting Maryam Nawaz from the Dawn Leaks scandal.

“Maryam and the name of the media cell were not taken hence she has been rescued,” he said.
