Many on the media and especially social media have as usual reached the conclusion that the recent terror trail is yet another attempt by India to malign Pakistan’s reputation internationally and doom the PSL final in Lahore with inevitable failure of the whole franchise. But is it the case really?

As it is no mystery that India has been cultivating and backing these terrorists to attack Pakistani targets it is not a far-fetched idea after all that the recent revival of these elements is coming from the same sources.

The deadly attacks in February which include attacks in Lahore, Sehwan, Quetta and Peshawar have cost us with more than a hundred precious lives. These attacks are part of a fresh comeback of TTP, as Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) is TTP’s subsidiary and Islamic State Khurasan which also happens to be the hot recruitment junction for the TTP fanatics as the terror outfit had pledged its alliance to the IS.

As it is no mystery that India has been cultivating and backing these terrorists to attack Pakistani targets it is not a far-fetched idea after all that the recent revival of these elements is coming from the same sources. This sure is madness if one looks at it on the surface of it as JuA proclaimed its new blood bath as “Operation Ghazi” to avenge the late Maulana Abdul Rashid Ghazi killed in the Lal Masjid Operation. But a little digging into the layers will tell you a much different story. It is madness but there is a method to this madness. Evidence is out there in the open for any right minded person to ponder upon. Confessions of Kulbhushan Yadav and Abdul Wali are only a few to mention.

This terror trail cannot to be ruled out as a coincidence because Indian backed terrorists being resurrected from graves is not a joke to be laughed at rather it is a reality that needs to be confronted.

The attacks come at a very critical time as Pakistan was hosting several important events which include PSL and Economic Cooperation Organization’s summit. Both of these events are of immense importance in improving Pakistan’s image internationally. This terror trail cannot to be ruled out as a coincidence because Indian backed terrorists being resurrected from graves is not a joke to be laughed at rather it is a reality that needs to be confronted.

Another important part of the method to this madness was Indian media’s immediate mockery of Pakistan’s security situation and its vulnerability. As if in the most synchronized manner on one hand there are the abettors of terrorism directed towards Pakistan and then on the other hand is the Indian media which starts labeling Pakistan as a terror haven and failed state as it has no international credibility to sponsor events of international eminence. The Indian media has left no stone unturned in defaming PSL or mocking at its various characteristics.

But a quick glance back at the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team, which took place few hundred meters away from Gaddafi Stadium, gives us the best example of just that perspective of fear these foreign players might be experiencing.

From early on the reputation of PSL 2017 was tried to be shrouded in conspiracies as was seen in the match-fixing scandal via a bookie connected to an Indian Network. Then there was the warning issued by the Federation of International Cricketers’ Association in January which advised foreign players not to travel to Pakistan.

Indian lobbying and influence over international cricket is no mystery. Due to mounting international concerns over Pakistan’s security vulnerability Chris Gayle and Sri Lankan players Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene have refused play the final match in Lahore. On the face of it might seem Pakistan’s fault as some gladly like to put it. But a quick glance back at the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team, which took place few hundred meters away from Gaddafi Stadium, gives us the best example of just that perspective of fear these foreign players might be experiencing. That attack was aimed at disrupting relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan as well as stain Pakistan’s reputation in the international arena. According to the intelligence agencies that attack was also planned and orchestrated by Indian handlers.

This shows how Pakistan is the target of a multi-dimensional hybrid warfare by India. But the resolve of this nation is paramount. The military and civil leadership has made it their priority to counter any attempt that maligns Pakistan’s national integrity.  Whether it is PSL, ECO or any other event that is important to Pakistan’s progress will be defended with immense zeal and any notorious plans of the enemy will be replied to.
