The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) vehemently denies the allegations put forth by the Special Inspector General of Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) regarding an increase in security threats from foreign and domestic groups within the country. Zabihullah Mujahid, the IEA’s spokesperson, dismisses SIGAR’s assertions as baseless propaganda aimed at tarnishing the image of the Islamic Emirate.
Mujahid firmly states, “We categorically reject SIGAR’s propagandist claims. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan maintains complete control over the situation and will not permit any entity or faction to destabilize Afghanistan or employ its soil for aggression against any other nation.” He emphasizes that the current security level in Afghanistan is unparalleled in the last four decades, ensuring stability and peace for the Afghan people.
According to Mujahid, there is no presence of foreign armed groups in Afghanistan, and the intelligence project known as ‘Daesh’ has suffered significant setbacks, nearing its demise. Internal armed threats are non-existent, allowing the people of Afghanistan to enjoy a peaceful existence.
Expressing skepticism towards the motives of the United States, Mujahid questions why they are spreading propaganda and speculates whether it aims to heighten concerns among neighboring countries. He raises the possibility that the intention behind such actions could be to destabilize the region or seek retribution for their own defeat.
Mujahid urges the Americans to relinquish their animosity towards the Afghan nation, advising them to end their enmity. He asserts, “Afghanistan poses no threat to anyone. On the contrary, the Islamic Emirate seeks constructive and amicable relations with the international community, including the United States of America.”
In light of the IEA’s strong rejection of SIGAR’s claims, it is evident that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is resolute in asserting its control over the country and ensuring its commitment to maintaining peace and stability.
