The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, represented by spokesman Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, strongly refutes claims that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur endorsed any military operation. Responding to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s recent remarks, Barrister Saif emphasized the government’s insistence on comprehensive stakeholder consultations before initiating any anti-terror actions.

    Accusations and Political Dynamics

In a sharp rebuke, Barrister Saif accused Governor Kundi of seeking unwarranted media attention through his statements. He highlighted Chief Minister Gandapur’s electoral victories over Governor Kundi and questioned the governor’s political credibility. Barrister Saif urged Governor Kundi to consider the historical context of law and order during previous administrations, particularly under the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

    Critique of Governor Kundi’s Statements

“The governor’s assertions regarding the province’s law and order are unfounded,” stated Barrister Saif. He pointed out that the situation was most dire during the PPP’s tenure, attributing it to hindering progress both locally and nationally.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s stance, articulated by Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, underscores its commitment to inclusive decision-making processes. The exchange highlights ongoing political tensions and differing perspectives on governance and security in the region.
