    Pakistan’s Battle Against Terrorism: A Decade of Sacrifice and Resilience in 2024

    Pakistan recorded 1566 terrorist incidents In the first 10 months of 2024,claiming 924 lives and leaving 2121 injured. During this period, 12,801 intelligence operations were conducted, resulting in the elimination of 341 terrorists.

    According to official documents, 573 security personnel were martyred and 1353 injured, while 351 civilians lost their lives and 768 were injured.

    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP):
    KP reported 948 incidents, resulting in 583 deaths and 1375 injuries. These included 437 security personnel killed and 1059 injured, while 146 civilians were killed and 316 injured.

    Balochistan witnessed 582 incidents, with 307 killed and 644 injured. Among these, 110 security personnel were martyred and 263 injured, while 197 civilians lost their lives and 381 were injured.

    In Sindh, 24 incidents led to 17 deaths and 38 injuries. This included 13 security personnel martyred and 11 injured, and 4 civilians killed and 27 injured.

    Punjab saw 10 incidents, resulting in 16 fatalities and 63 injuries. Among these, 13 security personnel were killed and 19 injured, and 3 civilians lost their lives and 44 were injured.

    In Islamabad two terrorist incidents were reported in the federal capital, where one civilian was killed, and one security official was injured.

    Intelligence Based Operations:
    In the past ten months, 12,801 intelligence-based operations were carried out, eliminating 341 terrorists.
    800 individuals involved in terrorist activities were arrested, including:
    400 from Punjab,203 from KP,173 from Balochistan, 21 from Sindh
    and 3 from Gilgit-Baltistan

    These individuals were added to the Fourth Schedule.
    Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT):
    2466 individuals were arrested for financing terrorism, and 526 were convicted under CFT laws. Authorities also recovered Rs. 580 million linked to terrorist networks.
    The statistics highlight the ongoing challenges of countering terrorism and the sacrifices made by security forces and civilians in the fight against extremist threats.
