On January 9, 2025, the people of Tehsil Zehri in Khuzdar, Balochistan, gathered in a powerful show of unity against terrorism. A significant Jirga, presided over by the Assistant Commissioner at the Zehri Levies Station, brought together locals to condemn the destructive actions of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

The attendees expressed their outrage over the damage inflicted on vital public service facilities, including the NADRA office, a local bank, and the Levies station.

The Jirga participants demanded enhanced security measures, calling for a stronger Levies presence in the area and decisive action against those responsible for targeting public infrastructure. Their resolve reflects a growing awareness of the detrimental impact of terrorism on daily life and a unified determination to restore peace and stability in their region.

Simultaneously, a public demonstration was held in Zehri, where protesters unequivocally denounced the BLA’s actions. Chanting slogans against the group’s terrorist agenda, they condemned acts of loot and dacoity, which have disrupted the lives of ordinary citizens.

This public outcry underscores the increasing frustration and resentment among locals toward extremist groups seeking to destabilize their communities.

The events in Zehri are a testament to the community’s courage and unity in standing against the threats posed by terrorism. By raising their voices collectively, the people of Zehri are sending a clear message: they will not allow their region to be torn apart by violence and fear.

Their resilience and determination to safeguard their homes and public resources signify a pivotal moment in the fight for peace and progress in Balochistan.
