Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is facing internal turmoil, saying the country is having a “very hard time” determining its leadership amid ongoing tensions.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump described what he called intense infighting between “hardliners” and “moderates,” alleging that hardliners are “losing badly on the battlefield” while moderates are gaining influence, though he dismissed them as “not very moderate.”
The U.S. president also made a strong assertion regarding the Strait of Hormuz, claiming that the United States effectively “controls” the critical maritime chokepoint. He stated that no ship can enter or leave without the approval of the U.S. Navy, signaling a highly assertive stance on regional security.
The remarks come amid heightened geopolitical tensions, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining a vital artery for global oil shipments and international trade.
