TANK: The brother of the ex-Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Salahuddin Mehsud, along with his driver , was forcefully abducted and tragically killed in Tank on Friday.
A group of armed individuals unleashed a volley of gunfire upon the car carrying the brother of the former IG, Salahuddin Mehsud, who was once the Nazim as well. This incident occurred in the vicinity of the Pathar Bridge located in Tank.
During this violent attack, the security personnel assigned to protect the former Nazim sustained injuries. Simultaneously, Habib Mehsud, and his driver were kidnapped by unidentified armed men. Regrettably, reports indicate that the security guard also lost his life due to the injuries he sustained, despite being taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
After the brother of the former Inspector General had been in Tank, he was en route back home when the unfortunate incident transpired. In response, law enforcement authorities promptly established checkpoints and initiated a comprehensive search operation, with the primary aim of recovering the abducted individuals.
Subsequently, the lifeless bodies of Habib Mehsud and his driver were discovered in the Manzai area of Tank.
