ZHOB: At least five soldiers were martyred, and three terrorists killed during an intense exchange of fire between security forces and a group of terrorists following attack on a security forces’ check-post in Balochistan.
The terrorists targeted the check-post in Zhob Cantonment on Wednesday, prompting a swift and robust response from the security forces.
The security personnel stationed at the check-post bravely retaliated against the attackers, successfully repelling the terrorists. Unfortunately, the intense exchange of fire resulted in the martyrdom of five soldiers, as reported by security forces sources.
The exchange of fire left three militants dead.
The deadly attack also left four soldiers injured who have been shifted to the Zhob Combined Military Hospital.
In addition to military casualties, the attack caused harm to five civilians, including a woman.
Five civilians, including a woman, were also injured in the attack. Sources confirm that all injured individuals have been transferred to Quetta for necessary medical care.
Security forces are continuing with the operation against terrorists.
