Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the Supreme Court has raised concerns regarding Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s judicial conduct and leadership style, citing these issues as reasons for his absence from the recent Full Court Reference.
In his letter to the Registrar, Justice Shah argued that CJ Isa failed to foster judicial harmony and accused him of being indifferent to external pressures on the judiciary.
Justice Shah compared the current situation to his decision to skip former CJ Saqib Nisar’s reference due to overreach but noted that his current concerns were “more troubling.”
He urged that his letter be officially recorded, underscoring the need for judicial independence and a Chief Justice’s active role in upholding public rights.
