    The Chief of Air Staff – Serena Hotels International Squash Championship 2024, organized by the Pakistan Air Force in collaboration with the Pakistan Squash Federation and Serena Hotels, has successfully concluded at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad. This prestigious event saw 24 top-tier players from eight countries, including Egypt, England, Hong Kong, Ireland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Netherlands, and Pakistan, competing for the coveted title.

    Air Marshal Shakil Ghazanfar, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel), was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony, where he presented the trophy and prizes to the winner and runner-up. In an exciting final, Pakistan’s Noor Zaman triumphed over fellow countryman Nasir Iqbal, winning with a 3-0 scoreline. Both players showcased exceptional skills and sportsmanship, making the match a memorable spectacle for fans and participants alike.

    During his speech, the Chief Guest congratulated both local and international players for their outstanding performances. He emphasized the significance of the tournament as a demonstration of the talent and dedication to squash. He further stated, “This tournament reflects the passion for squash, not only from our Pakistani players but also from international participants. The Pakistan Air Force remains committed to promoting and nurturing squash at all levels, working to reclaim Pakistan’s legacy in the sport.” He encouraged the youth to follow the example set by these athletes and strive for excellence.

    Under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, the Pakistan Air Force has played a key role in promoting squash and providing young talent with opportunities to thrive. The success of the CAS Serena Hotels International Squash Championship 2024 not only highlighted Pakistan’s potential to host world-class sporting events but also reaffirmed the PAF’s dedication to reviving the country’s squash legacy and encouraging youth to excel on both national and international stages.
