In Islamabad, a significant rally took place at Constitution Avenue, where participants gathered to express their solidarity with the Kashmiri cause. At 10 AM, sirens sounded across the nation, followed by a minute of silence to honor the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the struggle for Kashmir’s autonomy.

This poignant moment served as a reminder of the profound bond between Pakistan and the people of Kashmir.

The Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held a special session in Muzaffarabad, emphasizing the deep-rooted connection between Pakistan and the Kashmiri people.

Human chains were formed at key locations, including Mangla, Kohala, Bararkot, Azad Pattan, and Holar, symbolizing the unity and shared aspirations of Pakistanis and Kashmiris.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his address, reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. He emphasized that sustainable peace in South Asia is contingent upon resolving the Kashmir issue and called upon the international community to encourage India to allow Kashmiris to decide their own future. He stated, “Sustainable peace cannot be attained by ignoring the legitimate aspirations of the local populace.”

President Asif Ali Zardari also highlighted the dire human rights situation in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, condemning actions that infringe upon the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people. He affirmed that no level of oppression can diminish the resolve of Kashmiris in their pursuit of justice.

The observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day is not limited to Pakistan alone. Pakistani missions around the world organized events to highlight the Kashmir issue, aiming to raise global awareness about the plight of the Kashmiri people and garner international support for their cause.

These collective efforts reflect Pakistan’s deep commitment to the Kashmiri cause. By uniting in solidarity, both domestically and internationally, Pakistan continues to advocate for the rights of the Kashmiri people, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful resolution in accordance with their aspirations.

As the day concluded, the message was clear: Pakistan remains resolute in its support for Kashmir, standing shoulder to shoulder with its brothers and sisters in their quest for self-determination and justice.
