Three Khwarij Killed in Separate Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

    Introduction

Pakistan’s security forces continue their mission to eliminate militant networks that threaten the nation’s stability. On November 2, 2025, three militants belonging to the Indian-backed proxy group Fitna Al Khwarij were neutralized in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The successful actions reflect the country’s ongoing determination to secure its borders and restore peace through Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.

First Operation: Clash Near North Waziristan

The first engagement took place in the Esham area of North Waziristan. Security forces detected movement along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border late at night. A group of armed militants was attempting to infiltrate Pakistani territory. Troops swiftly moved to intercept them.

Through precise targeting and coordinated action, the soldiers eliminated two individuals identified as members of the Indian proxy network Fitna Al Khwarij. One of them, Khwarij Qasim, was an Afghan national who had previously served in the Afghan Border Police. His presence along the border revealed the deepening involvement of foreign elements in cross-border hostilities.

Security officials confirmed that weapons and communication devices were recovered from the scene. The operation was conducted under strict tactical discipline, showcasing the professionalism and readiness of Pakistan’s forces in high-risk zones.

Second Operation: Targeted Action in Tank District

A few hours later, another intelligence-based operation took place in Tank District. Acting on credible information, troops surrounded a suspected hideout of Fitna Al Khwarij. After a brief exchange of fire, the forces neutralized one militant identified as Ikramuddin, also known as Abu Dajana. He was also an Afghan national and part of the same proxy group operating along the border region.

This successful engagement prevented a potential large-scale infiltration attempt and disrupted the group’s logistics network. The precise and time-bound response by Pakistani troops once again highlighted their growing intelligence capability and rapid operational coordination.

    Cross-Border Concerns

These back-to-back operations shed light on the increasing presence of Afghan nationals involved in militant activities inside Pakistan. Officials have repeatedly raised this issue with the interim Afghan government. Pakistan has urged Kabul to implement strict border management, deny the use of Afghan soil by these elements, and fulfill its commitments to regional peace and stability.

The Pakistan–Afghanistan border remains a challenging zone where smuggling, illegal crossings, and militant infiltration often take place. Despite these difficulties, Pakistan continues to strengthen its surveillance and border security systems. These measures aim to prevent external groups from destabilizing local communities or targeting security personnel.

    Operation Azm-e-Istehkam: A National Resolve

Both of these actions fall under the broader vision of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam — Pakistan’s renewed national resolve to eliminate militancy in all forms. Approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, the initiative brings together the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence networks.

The operation focuses on intelligence-driven targeting, community cooperation, and coordination between provincial and federal institutions. Its core goal is not only to neutralize active threats but also to prevent the re-emergence of any militant infrastructure within the country.

By maintaining consistent momentum, Operation Azm-e-Istehkam continues to strengthen national resilience against foreign-sponsored elements and restore long-term peace in the region.

    Regional Stability and International Responsibility

Pakistan’s leadership has consistently emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation for regional peace. The country believes that lasting security can only be achieved through responsible border governance and collective efforts to prevent proxy conflicts.

Foreign involvement in internal instability undermines regional progress and damages trust between neighboring states. Therefore, Islamabad continues to call on the international community to recognize and discourage any support for violent networks operating across borders.

The elimination of the three militants in these latest engagements demonstrates Pakistan’s unwavering stance: the state will act firmly and decisively against any group that threatens national peace or violates its sovereignty.

    Commitment to a Secure Future

Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their commitment to defend every inch of the homeland. Continuous monitoring, intelligence sharing, and collaboration with local communities form the foundation of their counter-militancy strategy.

Recent successes in North Waziristan and Tank District also reflect improved operational synergy among the armed forces, intelligence units, and law enforcement agencies. The ongoing sanitization efforts in both regions ensure that any remaining hostile elements are removed swiftly.

The state’s message remains clear — Pakistan will continue its proactive campaign to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored militancy, protect its borders, and safeguard its citizens. Each successful mission strengthens the resolve of the nation and brings it closer to lasting peace and stability.

    Conclusion

The twin operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa serve as a clear message of Pakistan’s operational readiness and unshakable resolve under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam. The elimination of Indian-backed militants and Afghan nationals involved in violence underscores the ongoing challenges of cross-border threats. However, with continued intelligence cooperation, community support, and national unity, Pakistan stands confident in securing a peaceful and resilient future.
