The founder of the Pakistan Ulema Council has strongly condemned a letter sent by members of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi criticized the letter as direct interference in Pakistan’s domestic affairs, illustrating PTI’s hypocritical stance.

Ashrafi declared that the Pakistan Ulema Council entirely rejects this letter, highlighting the criminal silence of U.S. lawmakers regarding the ongoing atrocities in the Middle East, where thousands of Palestinians have been martyred, leaving millions homeless. He reiterated that the people of Pakistan, along with their government and political and religious parties, are fully capable of resolving their own challenges.

He further asserted that the letter’s content represents a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, asserting it was penned solely at the behest of Zionist powers.
