Afghan airspace is under scrutiny as Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for Afghanistan, responded to recent reports of potential violations by Pakistan’s fighter jets. Mujahid emphasized that if Afghan airspace has been breached, the response from Afghanistan will be severe.

Unconfirmed reports have surfaced, suggesting that Pakistani fighter jets may have patrolled the airspace of Kunar and Nangarhar provinces in Afghanistan. While these claims are still under investigation, the Afghan government is taking them seriously.

Mujahid reiterated that no country has the right to violate Afghan airspace. He pointed out that the patrolling of Pakistani planes has not yet been confirmed, but if true, Afghanistan will take strong action. The investigation into these potential Afghan airspace violations is ongoing.

Experts believe that unless the core issues between Kabul and Islamabad are addressed, incidents like these will persist. Sayed Moqadam Amin, an international relations expert, stated that unresolved disagreements between the two countries are likely to lead to repeated violations of Afghan airspace.

Previously, there were also reports of US drones patrolling Afghan airspace, which drew a strong reaction from Afghan officials. The Afghan government remains vigilant in protecting its airspace from any unauthorized incursions.
