A video circulating on social media, reportedly recorded in Afghanistan’s Paktia province, has drawn attention to the worsening humanitarian and economic conditions in the region. In the footage, a local resident expresses deep frustration over what he describes as severe shortages of food and basic necessities, alongside declining public services.

The individual in the video claims that ordinary citizens are struggling to survive, stating that many families are facing extreme hardship due to lack of access to food. He further alleges that while civilians endure difficult living conditions, some armed personnel are seen moving around in vehicles despite shortages of fuel for routine patrol activities.

The speaker also criticizes the broader governance situation, claiming that symbolic displays such as flag installations are being prioritized over addressing urgent economic and humanitarian issues. He argues that local trade has been severely affected and that the overall situation has contributed to worsening living standards.

The video additionally reflects anger over regional tensions and disrupted trade relations, including concerns about strained ties between Afghanistan and neighboring countries, including Pakistan. Toward the end of the clip, the speaker makes a direct appeal to people in Pakistan, urging stronger action against the Afghan Taliban administration in hopes of relief for affected communities.
