In a decisive move against militancy, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob District on the night of 29/30 October 2024, targeting the reported presence of Khawarij.
The operation led to an intense exchange of fire between the security forces and the militants. As a result, one Kharji was killed, while another was apprehended in an injured condition. A significant haul of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operation.
Currently, a sanitization operation is underway to identify and neutralize any remaining Khawarij in the area. Security forces are steadfast in their commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and progress in Balochistan, working in close coordination with the nation to thwart attempts to disrupt the region’s tranquility.
