BANNU: At least eight security forces personnel were martyred while 20 injured in a suicide attack in Janikhel area of Bannu on Thursday.
According to sources, a suicide bomber attacked the convoy of the security forces near a check post in Janikhel area of Bannu. The sources said that at least eight personnel were martyred while 20 injured in the attack. The sources added that the martyred and injured soldiers were shifted to CMH Bannu.
The sources maintained that some of the injured were in critical condition. The security forces rushed to the area and cordoned of the blast site. The security forces also launched search operation in the area.
