    PM Shehbaz Sharif to Address Palestine, Kashmir at 79th UNGA

    PM Shehbaz Sharif Addresses UNGA on Palestine and Kashmir

    NEW YORK — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to address the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), focusing on the conflicts in Palestine and Kashmir. The premier, speaking as the second speaker during the plenary meeting, will raise the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

    In his speech, PM Shehbaz will call for action on UN Security Council resolutions on these issues, highlighting their importance for global peace and security. The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to multilateralism and the role of the United Nations in fostering prosperity and stability worldwide.

    Climate Change and Global Security

    Beyond the conflicts in Palestine and Kashmir, PM Shehbaz will emphasize the grave impacts of climate change on developing countries, including Pakistan. He will also touch on the sacrifices made by Pakistan in combating terrorism and the economic challenges faced by debt-ridden countries.

    High-Level Diplomatic Engagements

    During his visit to New York, PM Shehbaz met with global leaders, including Nepal’s Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and addressing global security challenges.

    In these meetings, PM Shehbaz stressed the need for humanitarian assistance to Palestine and called for a ceasefire in Gaza. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the international community’s efforts to resolve ongoing conflicts through diplomatic means.

    Addressing the Palestinian Crisis
