    Khyber District Leaders Send Clear Message of Peace at Bala Hissar Jirga

    Khyber District Leaders Send Clear Message of Peace at Bala Hissar Jirga

    A special grand jirga was held at Bala Hissar Fort in Peshawar, where leaders from various areas of Khyber District conveyed an important message to ensure peace in the region.

    The jirga, organized by the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, was attended by Major General Anjum Riaz, Inspector General of Frontier Corps North, Additional Chief Secretary, Peshawar Commissioner, DC Khyber, CCPO Peshawar, Additional Inspector General of Police, and other senior civilian and military officials. A large number of leaders and youth from various areas of Khyber District also participated.

    Local leaders described the jirga as a need of the hour and made it clear that they would continue to work alongside the Government of Pakistan and security forces to combat the threat posed by Kharijites in Khyber District.

    During the event, participants assessed the security and peace measures in place for the district. They were informed that the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps North, and other law enforcement agencies are actively engaged in ensuring peace and that no individual or group will be allowed to disturb the peace in the region.

    Officials urged local leaders to work alongside government institutions to combat the threat of Kharijites and to raise awareness among the public about their propaganda.

    Leaders from Landi Kotal, Jamrud, Bara, and the Tirah Valley presented various proposals for peace and reiterated their support for the Government of Pakistan and security forces, ensuring that no individual or group will be allowed to disrupt the peace.

    The jirga’s holding is seen as a positive development, with local leaders and the Pakistan Army joining forces to ensure peace.
