A groundbreaking solar energy project has been launched in the Tijaban area of District Kech, Southern Balochistan, by the FC Balochistan South’s Makran Scouts. This initiative is a remarkable step towards addressing the energy and water issues faced by the local community.

The project focuses on two primary areas of improvement. First, the Government Boys High School in Tijaban has been completely shifted to solar energy. This transition ensures an uninterrupted power supply for the school, allowing students to study in a more conducive and reliable environment. With solar energy now powering the school, the dependence on conventional electricity, which is often unreliable in remote areas, has been eliminated.

Secondly, the project includes the installation of a solar-powered water filtration plant. This facility has been designed to cater to the clean water needs of the local population. Access to safe drinking water has been a persistent issue in many parts of Balochistan, and this plant is a significant step toward resolving it. The filtration plant not only ensures a sustainable source of clean water but also reduces the health risks associated with consuming contaminated water.

The impact of this initiative is far-reaching. Over 2,000 local residents and 500 students are directly benefiting from this project. For students, the availability of electricity and clean drinking water creates a better learning environment, encouraging attendance and academic performance. For the local population, the water filtration plant addresses one of the most basic yet critical needs, contributing to improved health and well-being.

This solar energy project highlights the efforts of FC Balochistan South in uplifting the living standards of the people in remote areas of the province. By focusing on sustainable energy and essential services, the initiative serves as a model for future development projects in Balochistan and other underprivileged regions. It reflects the commitment to addressing the challenges faced by communities and ensuring a brighter, healthier future for all.
