Pakistan’s agricultural exports have witnessed significant growth recently, marked by the first consignment of tractors reaching Tanzania. This milestone represents a significant step in international trade for the country.

Kenya-Tanzania’s Masai Tracta Company has partnered with Pakistan to introduce its agricultural machinery to the Tanzanian market, highlighting a collaborative effort between Pakistani manufacturers and Masai Tracta to expand the reach of Pakistani machinery.

This development underscores Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its agricultural machinery trade and fostering global trade partnerships.

Led by Pak Tractors House Company, this initiative aims to tap into new international markets, strengthening trade relations with East African countries as part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to enhance global outreach.

Economic officials view this achievement as a testament to the potential of Pakistan’s manufacturing sector in international trade, paving the way for further exports of agricultural machinery to East Africa.

In addition, Pakistan’s rice exports to Saudi Arabia have surged by 25% in 2024, driven by the high quality that has gained popularity among Saudi consumers. With total rice exports reaching $4 billion, Pakistan is targeting $5 billion in the next fiscal year.

To achieve this, a comprehensive strategy focusing on research for advanced seed varieties and improved agricultural practices is being developed.

Over 6 million tons of rice, including premium varieties like Basmati, were exported in 2024, reflecting the importance of these products in global trade partnerships.

Efforts are ongoing to solidify Pakistan’s position in the Saudi rice market, with the Saudi-Pakistani Business Council commending the quality of Pakistani rice and reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s presence in Saudi Arabia.

The Strategic Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has also played a crucial role in promoting these trade initiatives and establishing global business relationships, further enhancing Pakistan’s agricultural export potential.
