Imran Khan Stops Sons from Visiting Pakistan, Rules Out Protest Participation

Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has firmly stated that his sons, Suleman Khan and Kasim Khan, will not be visiting Pakistan or participating in any political protests.

Speaking to reporters inside Adiala Jail, Khan clarified the matter after rumors spread that his sons might lead or join demonstrations for his release.

    Family’s Previous Statement Sparks Confusion

Earlier, Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, claimed the two sons would travel to Pakistan and take part in the August 5 protest. This led to speculation about their role in upcoming political activities.

However, Imran Khan dismissed the claim. “My sons will not be coming to Pakistan. They will neither be part of any protest nor will they lead any protest,” he said.

Sons Were Lobbying in the US

Suleman (28) and Kasim (26) were recently in the United States. Reports suggest they met with lawmakers to lobby for their father’s release. Their presence in Washington sparked rumors that they would soon travel to Pakistan to join political activities.

Khan’s statement from jail put an end to that speculation. He made it clear that his sons would stay out of any protest movement, despite mounting political pressure on PTI leaders.

    Political Context

Imran Khan was ousted as Prime Minister in April 2022. Since then, he has faced multiple legal challenges and remains incarcerated in Adiala Jail. The PTI leadership continues to mobilize supporters, with a major protest scheduled for August 5.

The clarification about his sons may be a strategic move to protect them from legal or political fallout.

    Looking Ahead

As tensions grow ahead of the protest, Khan’s remarks aim to control the narrative and limit misinformation. His sons remain abroad, and the focus now shifts to how PTI will carry out its protest without direct involvement from Khan’s immediate family.
