CM Sarfraz Bugti Inaugurates Modern Healthcare Facilities at Civil Hospital, Quetta
Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated a series of advanced medical facilities at Civil Hospital. He said the move reflects his government’s commitment to reforming the health sector and providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the people of the province.
New Medical Facilities Introduced
The hospital now offers several modern services, including a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine, a fully functional Cath Lab, and a digitised pharmacy system. These facilities aim to enhance patient care and ensure transparency in the delivery of medicines.
During the inauguration, Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Adviser Naseemur Rehman Malkhail, and members of the provincial assembly were present. CM Bugti personally inspected the equipment and directed that the MRI machine should remain available 24/7 to serve patients without interruption.
Budget Allocation and Medical Dedication
Bugti announced that Rs1 billion has been allocated for the reconstruction of Civil Hospital under the provincial budget. He praised the dedication of medical professionals, especially Dr Waseh, who left a high-paying job in England worth Rs3.2 million a month to serve in Balochistan for Rs150,000.
The chief minister highlighted that such sacrifices symbolize true service to the nation. He also assured the public that his government would continue to invest in the health sector to bridge long-standing gaps in medical infrastructure.
Accountability and Governance
Addressing concerns about corruption, Bugti said that the digital pharmacy system would serve as an effective accountability mechanism to stop malpractice. Moreover, he warned government employees against political involvement, stating that violations under the BEDA Act would face strict action.
Bugti emphasized that his administration welcomed constructive dialogue and suggestions. However, he stressed that public interest would remain non-negotiable. “The government will not bow to pressure or blackmail,” he declared.
Conclusion
The inauguration of modern facilities at Civil Hospital marks an important milestone in Balochistan’s healthcare reforms. With a focus on advanced technology, accountability, and infrastructure upgrades, the government aims to ensure that the people of Quetta and surrounding areas have access to reliable and affordable medical services.
