UK’s Most Expensive Stolen Car Traced to Karachi

Karachi, October 1, 2025 – Interpol Manchester has sought the assistance of Sindh Police after tracking the UK’s most expensive stolen luxury car to Karachi. According to officials, the vehicle, stolen in 2022 from the English town of Harrogate, has resurfaced in Pakistan, sparking an international recovery effort.

Stolen in the UK, Found in Pakistan

The luxury car was reported stolen on November 22, 2022. Investigations revealed that its tracking device first lost connection in the city of Leeds. Months later, however, the system detected activity indicating the vehicle had already crossed borders and entered Pakistan.

On February 11, the car was last tracked near Saddar and Korangi Roads in Karachi. The revelation prompted Interpol to formally write to Sindh Police, urging cooperation to trace and secure the high-value vehicle.

    Sindh Police Launches Operation

Sources within Sindh Police confirmed that a special operation has been launched to recover the car. Law enforcement is reportedly monitoring possible storage sites, including warehouses and private facilities, where stolen vehicles may be hidden.

Officials noted that the case highlights the complexities of international smuggling networks. Transporting such a high-value asset across borders, from the UK to Pakistan, suggests involvement of an organized syndicate with global connections.

    A Test of Coordination

Interpol’s request places Sindh Police at the center of a cross-border law enforcement collaboration. Recovering the car is not only about returning property but also about exposing the routes and mechanisms that allow stolen vehicles to move across continents undetected.

The case has attracted attention both in Pakistan and the UK, as it may reveal wider networks involved in vehicle theft, smuggling, and laundering of stolen assets. Officials believe that cracking this case could help prevent similar incidents in the future.

    Conclusion

The tracing of the UK’s most expensive stolen car to Karachi underscores the importance of global cooperation in law enforcement. As Sindh Police intensify their search, the case stands as a reminder that modern tracking systems and international coordination can expose even the most sophisticated smuggling operations.

Whether the vehicle is recovered intact remains to be seen, but the effort marks a significant step in tightening cross-border security against high-profile thefts.
