The World Food Program has issued a warning that one-third of Afghanistan’s population urgently needs food aid. Last year, 15.8 million people were affected by economic hardships and malnutrition.
Reports indicate that child labor has risen significantly due to the Taliban’s ineffective policies. The situation worsens as foreign aid, meant to help the poor, often ends up in the Taliban’s hands. This misuse of funds has added to the suffering of the Afghan population.
The Taliban government must prioritize the well-being of the Afghan people. Aid money from the United States and other countries should be used to reduce poverty, not to support terrorism in the region.
