In a major success for Pakistan’s security forces, a significant operation in Bajaur district on October 24, 2024, resulted in the elimination of nine key Khawarij, including Syed Muhammad Qureshi Ustad, a ringleader of Fitna-ul-Khawarij. This intelligence-based operation led to a fierce exchange of fire, with security forces neutralizing individuals involved in several attacks targeting both security personnel and civilians.
A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered during the operation, marking another step in the ongoing efforts under Operation Azam-e-Taqwat to eradicate terrorism.
The operation aligns with the collective resolve of the Pakistani people and security forces to continue their mission against terrorism until peace prevails.
Since the start of the year, these efforts have intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with security forces successfully eliminating 572 Khawarij and allied extremists by October 24, 2024.
