    Empowering Women Through Mobility

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has unveiled a plan to provide electric bikes to working women on easy installment terms. The scheme, announced during a meeting on the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), aims to enhance women’s economic independence and mobility.

    Development Projects Under Review

The meeting, attended by key provincial ministers and officials, reviewed ongoing development projects. CM Bugti directed all departments to complete approved schemes by January 2026. While appreciating departments showing progress, he expressed dissatisfaction with delays and ordered the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team to monitor project execution.

    Public Transport Initiatives

Bugti also announced the expansion of urban mobility projects. The Green Bus scheme will see new buses arriving in Karachi by October, while a Pink Bus Service will be launched to provide safe, dedicated transport for women. He stressed that reducing hardships faced by ordinary citizens remains the government’s top priority and urged all departments to adopt public service as their mission.
