On March 14, 2025, a horrific suicide attack took place inside a mosque in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan, during Friday prayers. The attack left several people injured, including Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, the district emir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) South Waziristan Lower.

According to security sources, the attack was a heinous act orchestrated by the Khawarij and their backers. Initial reports suggest that Maulana Abdullah Nadeem was the primary target of this assault.

This is not the first such incident. In the past, the Khawarij have targeted religious institutions. On February 28, 2025, they carried out an explosion at Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak, martyring JUI-S chief Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani and three others, while hundreds were injured.

Previously, they attacked a mosque in Bajaur, killing over 100 innocent worshippers, and completely destroyed Ali Masjid in Khyber in a suicide bombing.

In the Peshawar Police Lines mosque attack, not only were 200 copies of the Holy Quran burned, but more than 80 innocent worshippers were martyred.

Who are these Khawarij, disguising themselves under the banner of Islam, that permit such brutality against places of worship?

These extremists are the enemies of humanity, and their actions cannot weaken the spirit of the people or the security forces. InshaAllah, these terrorists will soon meet their fate.

The people of Pakistan must unite against all forms of chaos and stand with state institutions to eliminate the menace of Khawarij, ensuring peace and stability in the country.
