ISLAMABAD: Barrister Gohar, legal counsel for Bushra Bibi and Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), has dismissed any suggestions of a deal concerning her release.

Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, was granted bail on Thursday after spending approximately nine months in custody. Her release from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail followed a decision by the Islamabad High Court (IHC), which approved her bail against surety bonds of Rs 1 million in the new Toshakhana case.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar stated that Bushra Bibi’s release was not a result of any negotiations but rather due to the lack of substantive evidence against her. He asserted that she endured significant hardship for a crime she did not commit, labeling the cases against her as fabricated to justify her imprisonment.

Congratulating PTI workers, he noted that Bushra Bibi would soon return to Bani Gala, and he expressed optimism that Imran Khan would also be released soon, overcoming any obstacles. Gohar emphasized that the party remains united under Imran Khan’s leadership and is determined to move forward according to his guidance. He believes that Bushra Bibi’s release will contribute to resolving several ongoing issues.
