Pakistan’s government has reaffirmed its decision to expel illegal immigrants, foreign nationals, and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders residing in the country without proper documentation. With only 18 days remaining until the final deadline, individuals falling under this category must prepare to exit Pakistan before March 31, 2024.

The authorities have made it clear that this policy is non-negotiable. Any foreign national or Afghan Citizen Card holder found staying beyond the deadline will face strict legal consequences, including arrest and deportation. The government has urged those affected to make the necessary arrangements for their departure before the specified date.

    Government Assurances and Support

To ensure an orderly and humane repatriation process, the Pakistani government has put measures in place to facilitate the departure of illegal residents. Officials have assured that no individual will be subjected to mistreatment or harassment during the evacuation process.

Additionally, provisions for food, medical aid, and logistical assistance have been finalized. Special transit centers have been set up to provide temporary shelter and necessary support for those preparing to leave. The government has emphasized that its priority is to ensure a smooth and dignified repatriation process.

Once the deadline passes, authorities will launch a rigorous crackdown against individuals who fail to comply. The government has warned that any foreigner found residing illegally in Pakistan beyond March 31 will be subjected to strict legal action, including forced deportation, financial penalties, and potential bans on re-entry.

With time running out, undocumented individuals are urged to adhere to the government’s directive and leave voluntarily to avoid any legal repercussions. The government remains firm in its stance, underscoring that the decision is in line with national security interests and immigration regulations.
