Elimination of Israel is possible, claims Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a meeting with Hamas’ top leader, Ismail Haniyeh, Khamenei emphasized this point. He cited a Quranic verse, saying, “How a small group defeated a large group, by Allah’s will.” He suggested that small groups have defeated larger forces like America, NATO, and Britain, hinting that Israel’s future elimination is achievable.
Haniyeh was in Tehran for the funeral of Iran’s late President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian. Both died in a helicopter crash with six others. Haniyeh offered condolences and expressed solidarity with Iran.
Also present was a Taliban delegation, including acting First Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar and Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. They attended the visit, showing unity and support.
