The day after a tragic shooting in Noshki, Balochistan, which left nine dead, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti held an urgent meeting to discuss the province’s security. The officials agreed to overhaul security measures to prevent such incidents.

On Saturday, migrants heading to Europe were killed in Balochistan after armed attackers targeted their bus and executed them based on their ethnicity.

That same day, two more were killed on the Quetta-Noshki Highway by presumably the same attackers.

The Balochistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility for these attacks.

The attackers had blocked the highway, robbing passengers and specifically abducting nine individuals identified by their Punjab identity cards.

Today, a key meeting in Quetta, attended by top officials, condemned the violence and planned to revise security protocols.

Chief Minister Bugti stressed the importance of a joint effort to combat terrorism and announced compensation for the victims’ families. He committed to enhancing security on highways and labeled the attackers as terrorists, vowing a thorough investigation and security overhaul.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences and demanded a detailed report on the incident.
