    Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets US Leadership, Attends CENTCOM Change of Command Ceremony

    Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, is on an official visit to the United States, where he has engaged in high-level interactions with senior political and military leadership, as well as the Pakistani diaspora. The visit, reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen Pakistan–US ties and promote strategic cooperation.

    Participation in CENTCOM Change of Command

    During his trip, FM Asim Munir attended the Retirement Ceremony of General Michael E. Kurilla, outgoing Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), and the Change of Command Ceremony marking Admiral Brad Cooper’s assumption of the role. The events were held in Tampa, Florida.

    FM Asim Munir praised General Kurilla’s leadership and his role in deepening bilateral military cooperation. He extended his best wishes to Admiral Cooper and expressed confidence in continued collaboration to address shared secu-rity challenges.


    Meetings with US Military Leadership

    In Washington, the Army Chief met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine. The two discussed matters of mutual professional interest and explored ways to enhance military-to-military engagement. FM Asim Munir invited General Caine to visit Pakistan, further reinforcing the spirit of partnership.

    On the sidelines, FM Asim Munir also interacted with Chiefs of Defence from friendly nations, underlining Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability and cooperation.


    Engagement with Pakistani Diaspora

    In an interactive session, the Army Chief addressed members of the Pakistani diaspora in the US. He urged them to remain optimistic about Pakistan’s future and to play an active role in attracting investment and supporting national development.

    The diaspora community reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth, reflecting the strong bond between overseas Pakistanis and their homeland.
