On March 13, a large convoy consisting of 506 vehicles successfully reached Parachinar, carrying a substantial load of essential supplies for the region. This massive operation was carried out to ensure the uninterrupted availability of food and other necessities for the local population.

The convoy not only transported a significant quantity of food items but also included petroleum products to help meet the energy and fuel demands of the area. Given the region’s challenging geography and security concerns, the successful arrival of this convoy is a major logistical achievement, highlighting the government’s commitment to stabilizing and supporting the area.

In addition to the supply efforts, the implementation of the peace agreement in Kurram district continues to make steady progress. As part of this agreement, authorities are actively working to dismantle military bunkers and remove the extensive network of trenches that were once used for defense and conflict.

So far, 483 bunkers have been completely demolished, and approximately 4,250 feet of interconnected trenches have been filled and neutralized. These efforts are crucial in restoring normalcy to the region and ensuring that such defensive structures are no longer used for conflict or unrest.

Furthermore, under the peace accord, a phased initiative is also in place to systematically collect weapons from different groups and individuals. This disarmament process is being carried out in stages to ensure a smooth transition towards long-term peace and stability.

The surrender of arms to the state is a critical step in preventing future conflicts and fostering an environment where dialogue and mutual coexistence take precedence over armed confrontation.

The government and security forces remain committed to enforcing the terms of the peace agreement while ensuring that essential resources continue to reach the people. These ongoing efforts are expected to bring lasting peace, improve security, and facilitate development in Kurram and its surrounding areas.
