In Washington, the United States has recognized Pakistan’s steadfast efforts against terrorism while condemning the loss of security personnel in recent attacks. Speaking at a White House press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller urged the Afghan Taliban to refrain from using Afghan territory for launching attacks on Pakistan. He emphasized continued US-Pakistan cooperation for regional security.

Miller acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by the Pakistani people in combating terrorism, stressing the mutual interest in eradicating this threat. Highlighting collaboration on various fronts, he assured continued US support for Pakistan’s economic initiatives.

Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently released its World Economic Outlook Report, which warns about persistent global food inflation. The IMF has projected Pakistan’s growth rate for FY25 at 3.5%, amid modest global economic growth.

The report underscores the complexities Pakistan faces: balancing anti-terror efforts with economic stability amidst global inflation concerns. The US remains committed to bolstering Pakistan’s economic resilience while reinforcing bilateral security efforts against terrorism originating from Afghanistan.

As Pakistan navigates these challenges, international cooperation, particularly between the US and Pakistan, remains crucial for regional stability and economic progress.
