    RAWALPINDI: Prominent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Omar Ayub Khan, were detained by police on Thursday in Rawalpindi.

    In addition to Ayub, Raja Basharat, Ahmed Chattha, and Azim-ud-Din were also taken into custody.

    PTI lawyer Rana Mudassar informed reporters that the arrests of Ayub and Basharat occurred near Adiala Jail’s check post. He further stated that the specific charges against the detained leaders remain unclear at this time.

    The arrests come amidst heightened political tensions, with PTI leadership facing intensified scrutiny and legal actions in recent months.
