    On January 15, 2025, a high-level defense delegation from Bangladesh, led by Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, visited Pakistan and met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad.

    The meeting focused on reinforcing the military cooperation between the two nations, with a particular emphasis on enhancing the partnership between the Bangladesh Air Force and the Pakistan Air Force. Chief of the Air Staff expressed a strong commitment to improving bilateral ties through joint training initiatives, exchanges, and collaborative efforts.

    Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan commended the Pakistan Air Force’s innovative approach and its indigenously developed technological advancements. He expressed particular interest in the sophisticated military hardware, including the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, which have garnered international attention for their cutting-edge capabilities.

    This meeting signals a clear intent to foster stronger military ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan, ensuring continued cooperation and mutual growth in defense capabilities. Both nations have pledged to further strengthen their relationship through shared knowledge and initiatives, reinforcing their commitment to a stable and robust defense collaboration in the region.
