In a tragic incident highlighting the vulnerability of Punjabi laborers in Gwadar, arrests have been made in connection with the deadly attack on Punjabi Labrores. Balochistan Home Minister Zia Ullah Langau announced the capture of two suspects following a successful raid, shedding light on the dire consequences of terrorism in the region.

The assault, which claimed the lives of seven barbershop staffers from Punjab and left another injured, rocked the coastal town earlier this month. Minister Langau, addressing the press in Quetta, commended the collaborative efforts of various institutions in swiftly responding to the heinous act.

According to statements obtained from the suspects, they were instructed to target Punjabi laborers, underscoring the deliberate nature of the violence. The recovery of weapons and firearms from the arrested individuals serves as a grim reminder of the threats faced by innocent civilians.

Expressing grief over the loss of lives during that Deadly Attack on Punjabi Laborers, Minister Langau reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its citizens. He condemned the cowardly targeting of innocent civilians in militant attacks, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and security in the province.

Efforts are also underway to address cross-border security challenges, with plans to engage with the Iranian authorities on the matter. Upholding national sovereignty remains a top priority for the country.

In a significant breakthrough, Balochistan Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Deputy Inspector General Aitzaz Goraya revealed the affiliation of the arrested suspects with the banned terrorist group, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). This revelation underscores the complexities of the security landscape in the region.

The slain laborers, originally from districts Khanewal and Mian Chunnu of Punjab, add a poignant dimension to the tragedy. Following the attack, Minister Langau ordered a thorough investigation into what he described as “open terrorism”.

In a separate operation in Peshawar, security forces dealt a decisive blow to terrorist elements, eliminating two militants, including a ringleader. The recovery of weapons and explosives further underscores the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens.

Local residents have expressed gratitude for the swift action taken by security forces, signaling a collective determination to rid the country of terrorism. Ongoing efforts to sanitize affected areas demonstrate the resolve to confront the menace of terrorism head-on.
