Bugti Accuses Afghanistan of Harboring Milit@nts, Pledges Strong Action

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has accused Afghanistan of providing shelter and state support to militants launching cross-border attacks into Pakistan. Addressing a press conference, he claimed that many militants killed in recent intelligence-based operations were Afghan nationals, urging the Taliban government to uphold its commitments under the Doha Agreement.

Bugti revealed that outlawed groups including the BLA and BLF, operating jointly under BRAS, are being backed by foreign elements to destabilize Balochistan. He detailed a successful security raid in Chagai where high-value targets, including Zubair alias Shahji, were neutralized. Zubair was reportedly monitoring Chinese nationals, mining projects, and security movements, allegedly at the behest of Indian intelligence agency RAW. Another militant, Jahanzeb, surrendered and confessed to multiple attacks.

The CM emphasized that law enforcement agencies had foiled a planned August 14 attack on sensitive installations, congratulating security forces for disrupting several terror plots.

Bugti warned that peace in Balochistan would not be compromised, declaring that those targeting civilians would face decisive state action. He stressed that foreign-backed groups misguiding the youth would be crushed, while reaffirming his commitment to protect Pakistan’s security and sovereignty.
