RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir highlighted the importance of inter-service cooperation for operational success during his visit to a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) base to observe the ongoing multinational exercise Indus Shield-2024 on Thursday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that General Munir was welcomed by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, along with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. The exercise, which involves 24 Air Forces, aims to foster interoperability and training under the motto, “Stronger When Together.”
General Munir expressed his satisfaction with PAF’s combat readiness and its modernization efforts to meet contemporary security challenges. He witnessed operations, advanced technology displays, and a thrilling aerial demonstration by PAF fighter jets. The COAS also praised PAF personnel’s dedication to safeguarding Pakistan’s airspace.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu thanked General Munir for his visit and underscored the commitment to strengthening Army-Air Force cooperation. He emphasized that the Indus Shield-2024 exercise will significantly enhance interoperability among participating nations and prepare them for modern warfare challenges.
