Security forces under attack in KPK

Over the past few months, there has been a surge in terrorist attacks on the security forces in KPK. Terrorist attacks have become almost a daily affair. The situation has become increasingly alarming. The KPK province witnessed another terrorist attack.

A police constable was shot dead in a crowded bazaar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district.  According to the details, police constable Sharifuddin was doing his duty when he was gunned down by some unknown assailants near the grid station.

The suspects managed to flee the scene after firing. The dead body was later shifted to the DHQ hospital by the rescue officials. The police also reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

Evidence has been collected while raids are being conducted to arrest the suspects. The incident took place on November 14. Just a day after the security forces killed an active terrorist during an intelligence-based operation (IBO), the operation was conducted in the Bara area of Khyber District.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release, one terrorist was sent to hell and has been identified as Qudrat Shah, alias Abubakar. The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists. The terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.

The same day, another incident took place. A bunch of terrorists opened fire at the vehicles of a private company working on a development project in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan District.

Resultantly, two innocent civilian employees of the company, Muhammad Faisal (age: 35 years) and Asif Kamran (age: 29 years), residents of District Karak, embraced Shahadat. Sepoy Syed Muhammad Shaheen Shah (age 33, a resident of the district of Hangu), employed for the security of the project, having fought gallantly, also embraced Shahadat.

ISPR, in a press release, said, “Sanitization operations are being carried out to eliminate the terrorists present in the area. The security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and would continue to support the economic progress of the area.”

Two soldiers were martyred and a terrorist killed in a North Waziristan gunfight. Earlier, two soldiers were martyred and a terrorist was killed during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the fire exchange took place at night. Security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in one terrorist being killed, it said.

However, during the intense fire exchange, Sepoy Abdullah and Sepoy Muhammad Sohail, having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom. Sanitization of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralize any terrorists found in the area.

The military media wing stated that “the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
