Smuggling-Terrorism Nexus Resurfaces in Balochistan Amid FC Crackdown

The longstanding connection between smugglers and terrorists in Balochistan has resurfaced, highlighting a dangerous alliance that continues to challenge security efforts in the region.

Recently, former FBR Chairman Shabar Zaidi acknowledged that under the current army chief’s leadership, smuggling activities in Balochistan have dropped by 80%, striking a significant blow to the operations of smugglers and terrorists alike.

In retaliation, these criminal groups launched an attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) in Balochistan, prompting a swift response.

FC forces retaliated by firing rockets at the attackers, resulting in multiple casualties among the smugglers and terrorists involved. However, supporters of these criminal networks have attempted to twist the narrative, falsely claiming that Iran launched missile strikes on Pakistani territory.

This claim is completely unfounded and is being dismissed as misinformation aimed at diverting attention from the FC’s successful crackdown on smuggling and terrorism in the area.
