Taliban in Malakand are preparing to seize the entire region. Senator Aimal Wali Khan, Central President of the Awami National Party (ANP), has raised this alarm. A significant force in Afghanistan’s Nuristan province is gearing up for this capture. Currently, the southern part of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) is under the TTP. They are expected to extend control to the north soon.

Aimal Wali Khan stated that the new government in K-P will be a coalition of the TTP and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Speaking in Wali Bagh Charsadda, he emphasized the ANP’s consistent advocacy for Pashtun rights. He urged those in power to take practical steps, not just raise their voices.

If Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur genuinely supports Pashtun rights, the ANP will back him. However, he criticized Gandapur’s role, likening it to that of an actor. Granting 12-hour load shedding to PESCO, he said, solves nothing. Wali Khan vowed to raise all Pashtun-related issues in the Senate, including electricity load shedding.

He lamented that the security forces, not the federation, have suppressed resources. In the Senate, he will also highlight issues of Balochistan, Sindh, and southern Punjab. Attacks on universities in K-P are frequent. Eight universities operate without vice chancellors. The IMF has dictated that no new educational institutions can be opened in Pakistan.

The future of K-P appears bleak, Wali Khan remarked. The fire of terrorism on the borders is unstoppable. The ANP has made significant sacrifices to eradicate terrorism. He noted that TTP militants patrol the southern districts regularly, drawing little attention.

Wali Khan alleged that the TTP’s return is orchestrated. Forty thousand terrorists have been brought back from Afghanistan. He accused Imran Khan, former Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, and Barrister Saif of facilitating this return. According to Wali Khan, these individuals aid terrorists.

Under the National Action Plan, facilitators of terrorism should be hanged, he asserted. The nation is being pushed into terrorism to please America and amass wealth. Pakistan’s budget is prepared in America, he claimed.

Wali Khan criticized parliamentarians, saying they rely on the army and lack independent thought. He argued that the Constitution and law hold no power for the elite. The ANP fights to establish the Constitution’s supremacy and ensure institutions work within their bounds.
