The Islamic Emirate’s acting Interior Minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani, expressed that the world’s failure to acknowledge their authority stems from Kabul’s refusal to comply with global directives. During a visit to Paktia, he engaged with religious scholars and ethnic elders. Haqqani stated, in no uncertain terms, that their independence was previously subject to external influence. The lack of recognition they currently face is a direct result of their noncompliance with external orders and unwavering refusal to yield to their demands. Haqqani emphasized the multifaceted nature of the invasion they have endured, extending beyond military aggression to include ideological, economic, and cultural infiltration. Their adversaries have sown deceit within various tribes and nations to suppress the truth.

The tribal elders and religious clerics in attendance at the gathering underscored the significance of the people’s support for the current government. Ibrahim, a tribal elder, proclaimed that Afghanistan is the collective homeland of the Afghans, and they will tirelessly defend it. Political analysts weighed in, suggesting that the Islamic Emirate must address the legitimate aspirations of the international community if they seek recognition. Regrettably, the Taliban has taken no affirmative action in this regard, leading to their continued isolation. Wahid Faqiri, a political analyst, voiced his concerns, highlighting the absence of constructive steps taken by the Taliban to bridge this gap and the subsequent consequences of their inaction.

The international community consistently emphasizes the need for intra-Afghan dialogues, protection of human rights, especially women’s rights, prevention of Afghan soil from being used against other nations, and the eradication of narcotics cultivation and production. The Islamic Emirate faced criticism for the freezing of Afghanistan’s assets and the inclusion of its members’ names on the UN blacklist. These developments further exacerbate the challenges they encounter in gaining recognition and legitimacy on the global stage.
