December 14, 2024: From December 9 to December 13, Pakistan’s security forces executed a series of meticulously planned intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, neutralizing 43 individuals including Khiwarij and members of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). These operations underscore the Pak Army’s ongoing commitment to eradicating terrorism and restoring regional stability.

The operations focused on dismantling militant strongholds in strategically significant areas. In Lakki Marwat, six militants were eliminated, while 10 were neutralized in Miranshah and nine in Tank. The most substantial engagement occurred in Zhob, Balochistan, where 15 militants were successfully neutralized. Further action in Kech and Dera Bugti led to the elimination of three additional militants. These operations reflect a coordinated effort to address threats in both provinces and ensure national security.

Local communities in Zhob expressed overwhelming support for the military’s actions, commending the bravery and professionalism of the Pak Army. Public demonstrations of solidarity highlighted the population’s trust in the military’s role as a stabilizing force in the region.

In addition to neutralizing militants, security forces seized a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from BLA hideouts. The recovered arsenal included high-grade weaponry and explosives, effectively disrupting the operational capabilities of these groups. This seizure not only weakens militant networks but also prevents potential future attacks.

The operations exemplify the Pak Army’s strategic resolve and operational proficiency in counterterrorism efforts. These actions reinforce a clear message: Pakistan will not waver in its mission to eliminate terrorism and safeguard its citizens. By proactively addressing security challenges, the military continues to demonstrate its pivotal role in maintaining peace and stability.

The government and military authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining such operations until all remnants of militancy are eradicated. This resolute approach ensures a safer, more prosperous future for all Pakistanis and strengthens the nation’s stance against extremist threats.
