Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Abbas Araghchi as diplomatic engagement continues under the broader framework of ongoing Islamabad-facilitated discussions.

During the call, both sides reviewed the evolving regional situation and reaffirmed the importance of sustained diplomatic contact to manage tensions and advance dialogue-based solutions. The exchange comes as efforts intensify around the second phase of the Islamabad talks process.

Ishaq Dar emphasized that continued engagement remains essential for the timely resolution of outstanding issues, stressing that diplomacy is the most effective pathway toward regional peace and stability. He reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position in support of dialogue and constructive engagement.

Both foreign ministers agreed to remain in close coordination as momentum builds around wider diplomatic initiatives linked to US-Iran engagement being facilitated in Islamabad.

In a further sign of expanding high-level communication, both sides also agreed on a planned telephone conversation between Masoud Pezeshkian and Shehbaz Sharif. The planned exchange reflects continued political coordination aimed at supporting diplomatic progress.

The ongoing consultations highlight Pakistan’s active role in maintaining communication channels between key stakeholders, as regional and international actors seek to sustain momentum toward de-escalation and broader diplomatic understanding.
