In a high-level engagement reflecting deep-rooted trust, Shehbaz Sharif met with Jiang Zaidong on Wednesday, reaffirming the enduring strength of Pakistan-China relations.
The prime minister extended warm greetings to Xi Jinping and Li Qiang, underscoring Pakistan’s pride in its all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with China. He reiterated his commitment to working closely with Chinese leadership to further elevate this relationship.
Discussions also touched on the evolving situation in the Middle East and Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and stability. The Chinese ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to strengthening its iron-clad ties with Islamabad in line with President Xi’s vision.
Senior Pakistani officials, including Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Ataullah Tarar, Syed Tariq Fatemi, and Amna Baloch were also present at the meeting.
