Nawaz Sharif Criticizes Judiciary, PTI, and Launches Housing Scheme in Lahore

LAHORE — Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed a check distribution ceremony for the ‘Apna Ghar Apni Chat’ scheme on Wednesday, reigniting his critique against the judiciary and PTI. Sharif accused both the judiciary and PTI founder Imran Khan of conspiring to remove him from power in 2017.

    Judiciary’s Role in Ouster

Nawaz Sharif expressed frustration over his removal from office, blaming five Supreme Court judges who ousted him in 2017. He questioned the fairness of their decision and highlighted an audio leak allegedly showing former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar planning his ouster.

Criticism of PTI and Imran Khan

Sharif also criticized Imran Khan, accusing him of destabilizing Pakistan through protests and sit-ins. He referenced Khan’s Billion Tree project and 350 dam initiatives, asking for evidence of their success. “Talk is easy, but performance is lacking,” Sharif remarked.

Launch of Apna Ghar Apni Chat Scheme

Sharif lauded the launch of the Apna Ghar Apni Chat scheme, spearheaded by Maryam Nawaz, which provides interest-free loans for home construction. He emphasized that if public governments were allowed to function, homelessness in Pakistan would have been eradicated long ago.
