Following the suicide bombing near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on October 3, which tragically killed three individuals, including two Chinese engineers, and injured 17 others, authorities have ramped up security measures at the airport. In response to the attack, stricter security protocols have been implemented for those picking up or dropping off passengers.

Under the new measures, visitors must present their tickets when asked by security personnel. While passengers can be accompanied by up to four people, those without tickets will be denied entry to the airport. Additionally, anyone arriving to receive passengers will be required to present their national identity cards for verification at security checkpoints.

This initiative aims to enhance airport security, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed to enter the premises. Airport security teams will rigorously enforce these protocols, and non-compliant individuals will be barred from entering.

These measures come after law enforcement agencies arrested three suspects, including a woman, in connection with the bombing, which has prompted increased vigilance at one of Pakistan’s busiest international airports.
